Collection of General Information When Visiting Our Website

Type and Purpose of Processing

When you access our website, i.e., when you do not register or otherwise provide information, general information is automatically collected. This information (server log files) includes, for example, the type of web browser, the operating system used, the domain name of your Internet service provider, your IP address, and similar information.

This information is processed in particular for the following purposes:

Ensuring a smooth connection setup to the website,
Ensuring a smooth use of our website,
Evaluating system security and stability, and
Optimizing our website.

We do not use your data to draw conclusions about your person. Information of this type may be statistically evaluated in anonymized form, if necessary, in order to optimize our website and the underlying technology.

Legal Basis and Legitimate Interest

The processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in improving the stability and functionality of our website.

Recipients

Our website is hosted on Microsoft Azure Static Web Apps; details on this hosting are provided in the “Hosting” section below. Further recipients of the data may be technical service providers who act as processors for the operation and maintenance of our website.

Storage Period

The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for the purpose for which it was collected. Hosting-related technical data is stored only for as long as necessary for the purposes of website delivery, security, availability and troubleshooting, unless longer storage is required for legal reasons or to investigate security incidents.

Provision Required or Necessary

The provision of the aforementioned personal data is neither legally nor contractually required. However, without the IP address, the service and functionality of our website cannot be guaranteed. In addition, individual services and features may not be available or restricted. For this reason, an objection is excluded.

Web Fonts

To present our content correctly and in a graphically appealing manner across browsers, we use web fonts that are hosted locally on our own server. No connection to third-party font providers (such as Google Fonts) is established, and no data is transmitted to such providers when you visit our website.

SSL Encryption

To protect the security of your data during transmission, we use state-of-the-art encryption procedures (e.g., SSL) over HTTPS.

Hosting

This website is hosted using Microsoft Azure Static Web Apps in the Azure region West Europe (Netherlands). Static website assets may be delivered via Microsoft’s globally distributed infrastructure.

We do not use website analytics, tracking tools or Application Insights for this website. The website does not use an Azure Functions API component, and no separate application telemetry is collected by us through Azure Application Insights.

We have not configured Azure Diagnostic Settings for this website. Therefore, we do not actively forward Azure resource logs or metrics to Log Analytics, a Storage Account or Event Hub.

Hosting-related technical data such as IP address, date and time of access, requested file, browser/user agent and referrer information may still be processed by Microsoft Azure for the purpose of delivering the website, ensuring availability, maintaining security and troubleshooting technical issues. We do not use this data to create user profiles or to track visitors.

Microsoft acts as a processor under the Microsoft Products and Services Data Protection Addendum (DPA). Data may be processed within the EU Data Boundary. In limited cases, transfers outside the EU/EEA may occur under appropriate safeguards, including EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

Right to Object in Individual Cases

You have the right to object at any time, for reasons arising from your particular situation, to the processing of personal data concerning you that is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (data processing based on a balance of interests); this also applies to profiling based on this provision within the meaning of Art. 4 No. 4 GDPR.

If you file an objection, we will no longer process your personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for processing that outweigh your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves to assert, exercise or defend legal claims.
